Andrea became a member of The Florida Bar in 2004 and has owned her own practice since 2013, after previously having worked approximately ten years with a local law firm. She earned her law degree from Stetson University College of Law, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Andrea also earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Indiana University. She and her husband have three children and have lived in Bradenton, Manatee County since 2002, where they attend Bayside Community Church – West Bradenton Campus.

On July 28, 2023, Ms. Johnson attended the Inns of Distinction Gala in Washington, D.C. She attended on behalf of the Manatee American Inn of Court. The mission of the Manatee American Inn of Court is to advance professionalism in the legal community. This event recognized Inns that have achieved excellence in Inn management and programming. 

The Gala took place at the Supreme Court of the United States and included a reception in the East and West conference rooms and dinner in the Great Hall. The Manatee American Inn of Court was recognized for their success in the Achieving Excellence program.
